4-16-26    THOUGHTS

We have God’s will for us stated in this reading!  Rejoice, pray, give thanks, live in the Spirit, examine everything carefully, hold fast, abstain!  May God  SANCTIFY us entirely!  

1Thes 5:16-23    Rejoice always;  17  pray without ceasing;  18  in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.   19  Do not quench the Spirit;  20  do not despise prophetic utterances.  21  But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; 22  abstain from every form of evil.  23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Prayer:
We praise You, and thank You, and lift up Your most Holy name, O God!   O Lord, help us to live out Your will for us, in Christ Jesus.  May we apply the sweet and reasonable things that we read about above to our hearts, minds, souls and hands.  With thanksgiving in our hearts, may we rejoice and pray with Your power and Spirit.  Help us to head toward the Holy at all times.  Preserve us completely, O Lord.  In the name of our Lord Jesus,   Amen.
